Hi, I’m Chiswick Mum
-
I'm passionate about local life and making the most of living here, and of this great city that we live in.
London is such a great place to be a parent - and here in the leafy edge of the big smoke I feel really blessed to spend my days living, loving and parenting.
I live with my wonderful seven-year-old Chiswick Boy, and his dad Chiswick Daddy. Together we have adventures out and about, peppered with crafting and pyjamas days.
I don't get it right all the time. I work outside the home four days a week and the first thing to get ditched is generally the housework.

Runny noses, pants and non-instagram-ready cakes
This post was started on Monday and the fact that it's now Friday evening is an indication of how scattered and plot-losing I've been this week. It culminated in Chiswick Boy reminding us at eight fifteen this morning that it … Continue reading
Sudden sunshine – that was the weekend that was
Bit of a quiet weekend this one. Do you also find that weekends tend to go in phases? We'll have a few of rushing around and seeing stuff. And then feel like staying in our pyjamas and taking things slower. … Continue reading
That was the weekend that was: from bubbles to big bangs!
It was the last weekend of the Easter holidays and I did my best to enjoy it and not do too much moping at the thought of going back to work. Don't get me wrong, I love my day job. … Continue reading

That was my Chiswick Easter Weekend
It was a blowy Easter weekend. My heart went out to the poor mother that lost her daughter on the bouncy castle. The pain and agony that she is feeling – and the anguish that so many mothers feel every … Continue reading

Kids unplugged: a London weekend
Been ogling over photos of my nephew – even though we were there the previous weekend (which I blogged about) it seems like ages since I've had a cuddle. And at this age (a week old!) they seem to change … Continue reading

7 things we did last weekend: enjoying life with kids in London
In which we finally emerge from our Winter hibernation and hit London… If you read Julia Cameron's creativity books (and you should – she's a creative genius and her books have had a profound effect on my life) you'll see … Continue reading

Having fun on a London winter weekend – from PJ disco to feeding the ducks
We'd decided in advance that Saturday was going to be a pyjama day, and that Chiswick Boy and I would spend our day on the sofa taking it in turn to choose dvds. Well the best laid plans never work … Continue reading

Netflix, pyjamas and board games – January hibernation
These last couple of weeks I've not been doing much blogging about Chiswick, West London and family things to do. January is firmly for hibernation in my book. Our lives at the weekend and evenings consist of wearing pyjamas as … Continue reading
That was my Chiswick week that was – 4 quiet things we did, and 1 night out
It seems a bit odd to write about my Chiswick week – almost as though I'm admitting that I'm firmly back in normal life after the fab holiday! Look fab holiday pic below – taken on New Year's Day at … Continue reading
